WWER 88.1 FM is Colonial Beach’s nonprofit community radio station, broadcasting local music, news, weather, public affairs, and community programming throughout the Northern Neck region of Virginia. Operating as “Colonial Beach Community Radio,” the station focuses on hyperlocal content designed to inform, engage, and support residents and visitors with programming that commercial stations typically do not provide. WWER features local talk shows, event coverage, interviews, music programs, podcasts, and town-focused broadcasts that highlight the culture and character of Colonial Beach. Its mission is to serve as “the voice of Colonial Beach” through unique local programming and support for local artists, organizations, and civic initiatives.
