A Warm Welcome for The Potomac Perk Coffeehouse
Yesterday marked a special occasion for The Potomac Perk Coffeehouse, by Bob’s Bean Roastery, as friends and members of the community gathered to celebrate its opening at 201 Wilder Avenue.
The celebration began with a warm welcome from Downtown Colonial Beach's Boardmember Cinthia Neumer recognizing The Potomac Perk and celebrating its arrival downtown. Bob Busick, owner and creator of this new community hangout, shared the source of his inspiration before introducing The Potomac Perk’s manager, Reilly Clare Clifton.
Reilly born and raised in CB, shared in the excitement of the opening and introduced the staff, including the Perk's "international barista trainer" Libby Martin and the group of hospitality-focused baristas who will be welcoming customers and serving up their favorite drinks each day. It was a wonderful opportunity for the community to meet the people behind The Perk and put some friendly faces to this new coffeehouse.
The Potomac Perk Coffeehouse, part of the unique Market on Main concept created by Susan Quinn and Chuck Woodward, gives coffee and bagel lovers another great reason to spend time downtown, whether you’re starting your morning with a fresh cup, meeting up with friends, or stopping in for an afternoon pick-me-up.
With coffee from Bob’s Bean Roastery and Reilly and her team ready to welcome customers, The Potomac Perk is creating a place centered around great coffee, friendly service, and good conversation.
